While watching this documentary the narrative shifted to a man promoting some vanity product about a rubber cube the user bites down on to "tighten the jaw line and take 10 years off your face." I actually didn't realize this was an ad that had started, independent of the program. Prof Zuboff had been discussing targeted ads and algorithms that assess and steer ads to a viewer, and how Pokemon Go was a cover to refine these ads and algorithms. I thought it was part of the doc! Talk about smooth, this was unreal in its transition. Coincidence, I seriously doubt it.
