As someone who dabbles with generative AI and who used to draw and paint a lot I can say that without a doubt there will ALWAYS be a place for hand crafted art and the unique expression a human mind and hand can create. BUT! As an industry commercial art will have to adapt to the use of generative AI or perish from its own hubris. Generative AI is another toolbox in the artists toolbox if they so choose to use it. The problem is with videos like these is that they do not offer an any solutions to what is inevitable at this stage in the game. Instead it is all just arguing semantics and trying to hold back an unstoppable force. The 'Old man shouts at cloud' meme. People create art for arts sake and self fulfilment. Being able to sell your art is just a bonus and a privilege. If your career entirely revolves around you art and you feel threatened I can understand your frustration, fear and anger. But shouting at clouds won't change things as the rug gets pulled from under your feet.
It is what it is.
