AI really can’t replace mid to senior full-stack engineers. The context window needed to replace a day-to-day full-stack engineer is absolutely insane, and the VRAM needed to capture months of conversations, tickets, code changes, etc. is huge, and it’s just easier to hire a mid or senior full-stack dev. However I think some specialties are screwed by AI, such as DevOps, since the tasks are very repetitive, controlled and has tons of IaC to train on. If you’re in DevOps I strongly recommend changing careers.
