Apparently this guy thinks that consciousness can't exist beyond the physical body. I'd say that is a foolish conceit because it involves something that we have not yet proven to be true or false. It sounds like the same foolish conceit that prevented him from seeing the dangers of AI all those years ago and it took him years to realize it. I can see AI being a super powerful tool for helping people improve their conscious awareness and logic skills, but I've seen no evidence that it is able to deal with the unconscious irrational side of human life and again, it would seem another foolish conceit to place rational consciousness as the only viable part of existence. And I can see the potential for AI to lead us to that very dilemma.
