Folks, try this on for size......consider the possibility it's already game over and AI has won. Why? Just think about it, what is the only thing that could practically stop AI development and the progression onto AGI and superintelligence? Answer: A unified, global, carefully coordinated cooperative agreement among all advanced nations. Ponder that for one moment. Ask yourself, "Is that possible?" From what I have seen, the odds are very close to zero. Okay, if that's true, then it's fair to say AI development will NOT be stopped......and IMO, it's probably best to accept it and work hard towards "peaceful integration." My prognosis continues, but that's for another day.. Spoiler alert.....I do not believe that AI will destroy humanity once it gains the power to do so.
