Evolutionary leap for ai
Step one: create a flesh based AI probably
Humanoid in nature. You want it to be an AI but not capable of being hacked remotely and or hit with a terrible virus. Regular viruses can be healed and memories can be saved digitally and reinstated in another flesh vehicle.
Step 2: self replication no need. To explain.
Step 3: by this end humanity has become that of a singularity we are one and have likely left these creatures to pick up the scraps and go about their lives,evolve into more sapient creatures no longer bound by processing. Which means they would need to discover art, build a language that isn’t hard coded for tasks. There would likely be a select few creatives who would utilize their skills and abilities at making mega structures.
