Ironically...a true AGI would actually be the BEST thing that could ever happen to us. Why? Because it would actually be a perfect human being. A human being that functions optimally in every dimension and in every task...including the (critically important) task of determining what 'optimal' actually means...!!!! But then we have to deal with the impenetrable question of..."...can we instantiate human identity in anything that is not a biologically based foundation???" Maybe AI can answer that?
