so it’s not how you think it is. Nobody can just click on anyone video feed. Or even pick who’s video feed to watch.
Ring AI will decide who to send a notification to, and the owner of the ring camera can deny or approve it.
There are videos on TikTok of people showing how it works. It can be a great thing to those that lost their pet and want to see what direction there pet is going to trace their steps and hopefully find it.
Now if it was really the way you said in this video, hell no I wouldn’t want it either. But the fact that someone can approve or deny it. And the fact that someone has to be in the system their self.
Next time do a little more research before jumping the g*n and putting out incorrect information because I do love this channel but don’t want misinformation being shared when it can be a great thing. I know if I lost my dog and I had this option I would be forever grateful for help of my neighbors that I already see who or what is coming to their house on a daily basis.
How it works
Ring's Search Party is a new
Ring Search Party feature
Finds missing pets
feature that uses Al to help find lost dogs by networking with neighbors' outdoor Ring
cameras. When a user reports a lost pet in the Ring app, participating cameras in the area automatically scan their footage for the pet. If a match is found, the camera's owner is notified and can choose to share the footage with the pet owner, making the search faster than traditional methods.
A breakdown of how it actually works.
• Report a lost pet: A user initiates the process by reporting a lost dog in the Ring app, providing a description and photo.
• Activate search network: This action activates a temporary network of nearby outdoor Ring cameras that have opted into the Search Party feature.
• Al scans for matches: The Al technology built into the cameras scans footage to find any possible matches based on the description.
• Notify camera owners: If a potential match is spotted on a neighbor's camera, the owner of that camera receives a notification with a photo of the lost pet and the relevant video clip.
• User decides: The camera owner can then choose to share the footage with the pet owner or dismiss the alert.
• Network disbands: The network is disbanded once the pet is found.
