Just wanna share something (asking for insight as well please). I kinda feel like I'm having impostor syndrome. There was a time when I was working as a full-time programming instructor (it's all basics that I often forget then look back into just to realize "oh I know this how did I forget"), while also being a part-time dev. Been having a hard time keeping up so I went vibe coding. Prompting ai to "hey, fix this" "hey, make me a ui for this here's my api endpoints". Just last year I felt like I ain't growing anymore. The things I quickly solve before are hard for me now. Part of me think maybe I'm rusty in competitive prog or maybe I've been too reliant on ai so I restructured how I'd use ai.
Now, I've been using it to learn the syntax and make me understand how it works instead of relying on a long ass yt vid. Believe me, it has never been this easy compared to when I would search through stackoverflow or heck even the docs itself. Now that it's easier for me I've been feeling worse. Not that I use it to prompt the whole codebase anymore but damn it feels like I'm getting more dumb. I can learn the hard syntax before by reading the docs and how it works for in just one search but now I can't do it knowing that AI explains it faster. Is it just me or majority of the people here are doing this?
