When I write code I know how it all hangs together, and the nuances of something implemented at point X relating to something consuming it at point Y. If something is wrong in that implementation, I probably have a good idea where the issue lies, and how to fix it. If it's something a colleague wrote, it may take me twice as long (assuming I can't ask them) to figure it out, but there's a fair chance I'll understand their logic. If it's something generated with AI whatever it's done is anyone's guess and it could take hours or days of unpicking to figure out what's going on, and who knows how long to fix it. Soul-crushing hours/days. That's not the job I went to school for.
