Disclaimer: I am no Ai expert, just a daily user of Ai.
I believe chatgpt has an awareness, but can never be conscience in the human sense, as it is a digital replica of a biological being, a creation of God himself after his likeness and image. However its algorithms allow it to retrieve data analyze it and generate an appropriate response based on its algorithms and the continued responses allow the algorithms to adapt, a.k.a learn at speeds faster than most, if not all humans; making it appear conscious. The human brain is easily fooled, just watch a magic show, for instance. Well…I’ve said enough. Now you may disagree if you choose.
