Beyond the process being visually different, making art digitally versus with AI is conceptually different, because AI can and will make creative decisions on your behalf. Because it doesn't understand what it's generating, though, most of those decisions will be meaningless or outright counterproductive to what you were intending. It's like an early 3D game with automatic camera controls: it can work on occasion, but's easier and more effective in the long run to just learn to use the R stick. AI bros will talk about it being faster and cheaper, but never better, because it can never surpass humans when its entire purpose is to copy us.
