I cannot explain how dangerous this is, as someone who has studied under this man. He is saying his life's work needs a check and balance to prevent what we have seen in horror movies becoming our reality. Probably not on the scale that a short movie depicts, but rather from losing any human life to a choice AI may make.
They lack the empathy and moral compass that most humans have, it is literally like handing a deadly weapon to a sociopath and expecting a good outcome.
