This is actually very refreshing.
Usually, I hear people that really shouldn't be having a foothold take over this conversation (I don't mean they shouldn't have a say, as they should but they shouldn't be directing). We need more artist like yourself to speak up and make a voice about A.I. Art. Mostly from what I have heard the big voices and echos are from people that don't have skin in the game or don't know what they are talking about, like strictly traditional artist [I understand they are artist too but this is an area they don't enter, so it's like a guitarist telling a drummer what to do], and lazy artist-- we all those kinds, and strangely writers [A lot of writers are talking about A.I. Art, which frustrates me because you know they don't draw].
I think this conversation should be directed by digital artist and digital comic artist, specifically people like yourself-- artist that put in work for their craft to express their vision and have done so to make capital (or at least try to enter the market). This is something that can directly affect the works of people like you.
I understand your tirade against those rich morons, but I must express that not all rich people are bad. The "X" guy [can't remember his name] is a dumbass and Zuker is a hypocrite, so of course they are gonna be scum. I myself am neutral about A.I. Art because it can be used for both good and bad; just like digital art when it first became prominent. I understand how it can steal from artist and how it can replace jobs, but the replacement wouldn't happen to independent artist because they haven't been touched yet-- not like the corporate artist. The corpro artist are dying off really fast. They are being replaced by A.I. just as fast as the commercial actor.
On the flip slide it can help a lot of people and there is a totally legal way to improve the learning of A.I. Art. The writer that can't afford commission for a cover or can't pay page rate for a story can only pay $5 a month to get their story out there. That is a GOD send for those denied from the publishing companies that suffer from "wrong think". And the legal way for companies, or even the bad at drawing, to use and improve A.I. is use public domain (or just buy a portfolio from an artist or group of artists).
Either way I hope you speak more about this topic and your beliefs on it. And in the future, it would be nice to hear if you have any solutions for A.I. Art. If it should be eradicated (if so, then how and the possible ramifications) or is there a way to use it responsibly.
Nice video.
