These are interesting conversations but they lack actual honesty when it comes to the effects of AI on the average person. Google AI just told me that there are 135.5 million full time workers in the united states with 7.2 million job openings as of late 2025 according to Google AI. All of those factors are dependent on location of jobs and portability of the person losing their jobs due to AI. If AI begins taking jobs (lets say at 10% per year starting in 2026 and progressing into the foreseeable future ) it wouldn't take long to have a level of unemployment that creates chaos for the individual American and American families. The cause and effect of AI will bring chaos without income solutions that lead rather than lag behind AI. How will people eat? The pull yourself up by the bootstraps BS will no longer be able to work when there are no longer boots on people's feet to start that process. The hole may be too big to climb out of and that could begin within 5 years.
