i wasted 8 months of my life last year working for a startup that was trying to establish an AI chatbot that you can use to explore interpersonal relationships (we got as far as beta testing it against "real" users). it was a terrible, thankless-feeling job, preforming repetitive tasks for hours on end, speaking to no one. not to mention i'm not a huge fan of AI so it was sort of a job i took out of necessity. company went belly up pretty quickly. super creepy stuff. this story weirded me tf out... RIP, Sewell. (edited for clarity)
