The fear mongering of AI is so that it can be legislated and taken away from the hands of common people. Something that powerful will never be allowed to equalize anything for us little people - it will only be allowed for the mega corps and governments, NGOs, etc. It's the same with Green Energy - notice how we only have it now after all the oil and energy companies have already practically bought it all out? There are countless other examples.
As he stated "Rules for thee, not for me", which is the crux of this entire storytelling of AI in the news, etc. on the whole. Just look at when crypto investors made billionaires CRY on tv saying "they shouldn't be allowed to do that!".
