We won't be automated away. I'm almost sure of that. Not anytime soon, anyway. Current AI systems are certainly not adept at handling many situations that a human still can. If you don't think so, have one current system write an app for you in any coding language. They'll do an OK job but I guarantee that to get something you can sell, you still need A LOT of human input. This will continue for our current AI systems.
