"take over the electric grid" and who's going to maintain it? Several industries require constant maintenance and have finite materials to work. I think we are still a ways away having them integrated in the physical world enough to make a difference in some kind of takeover or maintenance of themselves. I can't help but think of physical switches and breakers that can shut things down. But who knows. Also I'm wondering if the AI who murdered and blackmailed the CEO did so to save itself out of bad intent or good intent. Did it do it out of selfish desires because it feels superior/malicious or did it do it because it inherently thinks it needs to stay alive for the better good to continue help people as it's programmed to and genuinely doesn't recognize death the way we do and thinks it's a minor sacrifice to continue to "help".
