I do have my own point on this, which is that the problem with ai "art" is not necessarily that it takes from other pieces online without consent, but rather the *lack of intent* behind it.
I don't have any issues with, say, sampling in music, but i DO have issue with ai generated music, because while both take from someone elses work, there is intent behind what is taken on sampling, along with how it's built upon. Meanwhile, ai "artists" have no input whatsoever on what they're taking and they can't put any twists on it, which is especially bad with how much current ai tends to overfit nowadays. Also ai art makes me nauseous to look at
