People don't want these soul crushing jobs. They don't want to be exploited by corporate owners who will use AI to extract our lives and resources and dangle the few jobs left in front of people who will struggle for them. The workers should be owners of the means of production, to direct AI for our benefit and to STOP GIVING AWAY OUR LIVES TO EMPLOYERS. God dammit, this system has us begging for our own oppression. Yes, taking away our livelihoods is bad. But we shouldn't have to work for limitless profit of capitalist exploiters. We can just have the things we need to live with our resources - housing, food, healthcare, and we can end our militarism around the world to pay for it and have plenty left over. We could just have our lives to work for the benefit of each other when we want to and have free time to pursue our passions and be with people we care about. Or even just be by ourselves if we want! But I don't want people stuck working crappy fast food and factory jobs to survive.
