THUMBS DOWN. I have worked in AI/ML for 10 years. To be clear: LLMs do NOT think. They are not sentient. All of that fear mongering comes from foundation model CEOs pushing a false narrative to get more investment. Researchers are leaving because the CEOs are selling instead of promoting model governance. If anything, I am seeing a boom in Narrow AI applications for agents.
