My IT background since 1982 teaching children and then adults IT especially coding must be about 1% compared to Geoffrey Hinton, and I was fanatical about IT as Tim Burnams Lee stated IT would empower humans. BUT after about 37 years on retiring and seeing the damage and harm so much I contributed to bring in, I like Hinton now REGRET doing so. Plus even more, what every year I see with AI is doing to us, i.e A.I. generated scrape YouTubes on here, which so many people respond to as if they are true and realistic, plus people falling in love with AI Chat bots - is all very worrying.
