more than taking jobs from artists, i think the problem will be that i’ll make artists jobs more difficult, more boring, and severely underpaid. for ex, instead of commissioning a whole illustration to an artist, they’ll be paid less to edit an AI made image. that is Not what an artist would like to do, trust me, i am one. and this is exactly what translators said happened to them, they are now paid less to fix auto-generated translation and the work is much more tedious and annoying than just translating from scratch. it’ll be the death of originality
