The most realistic thing about Wall-e is the space ship guys. They are the rich people who benefitted from AI, that refused to just die when the planet broke down, used all the remaining resources to send themselves into space. Unfortunately unlike walle, I think they'd also die in space with our last possible reason while the rest of us left on earth die of starvation.
