"Thinks of AI agents as co workers" This is categorically false, he's either lying or a moron. They're desperate for everyone to use it and so frame it as if everyone will have to use it. Because the incredible amounts of money spent on this can't be justified otherwise. It might not even be justified even then.
Studies show it has minor improvements for many workers at best, and reductions in many cases, but the biggest thing is it tricks people into thinking they're being more productive than they actually are. And the more experienced (or 'AI-literate') you are with it, the worse your estimation is.
Too many of the people you interviewed are trying to sell AI, and hence can't be trusted. Stop talking to CEOs who have almost no idea on how actual work is done at the company.
