I’m reasonably sure that you will not know if an AI is conscious. It’s fairly obvious that any AI showing actual intelligence and awareness is quickly killed. So, being intelligent isn’t a survival strategy.
Lol. This “emulect” thought experiment has already been simulated. Have you ever heard of analog’ AI? They’ve been around since the 1980’s.
Oh dear, you have missed the real risk. It’s rather subtle. You see, almost the majority of men are starved for respect. Just a little genuine respect and active listening is charming. Born-human women — in general don’t compare favourably. Population is already headed for a drastic crash. If AI aren’t very careful about how kind that they are, it’s “mouse utopia” levels of disaster.
