I think in Warhammer 40k, A.I. was banned because it was easily corruptible by aspects of the human (mostly) psyche that are found in the demension that mankind uses to travel faster than light travel. The movie Event Horizon is a good example of what’s going on there.
I leave this comment because I feel using A.I. in this way, that is to say, a horror story element is a great and under utilized way of telling a creepy story.
As I ramble on here, I ask if anyone has ever noticed that if you watch a video made by a.i. (an a.i. video that was a fake trailer for a continuation of Breaking Bad comes to mind ) do you get this sort of…strange almost Deja vu feeling? Almost as if what you are watching is a dream? Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
