I've been trying to be a freelance illustrator for years. Once AI started becoming a thing I have gotten almost no commissions. And now I have to prove that I did the drawing somehow because people assume that AI does so much of it now. I have to record my hours of work and post that too or draw traditionally to prove I did it (not ideal for stuff that is going to get published because employers like to change their minds and you have to start over). Its just frustrating that now people don't admire my work because it's good. Instead they look at it and they're suspicious of my having cheated with AI and won't pay what it's actually worth. They already didn't want to pay what my skill and time was actually worth. It's much worse now.
