The argument is always "but China". Honestly, a Chinese AI sounds safer than an American AI because at least China believes in regulation and has the power to regulate its companies. America just lets its tech companies run amok without any constraints or consequences even for documented missbehavior that led to horrible consequences (as for example Facebook).
