So mega corporations lay off thousands of workers because they overhired during Covid, then use AI as an excuse to placate investors. Smaller companies seeing this misinterpret what's happening and think 'AI is a panacea' and reduce headcount thinking AI, a relatively new and untested technology, will just sweep in an fix everything.
