I've had a CDL for over 30 years and I can tell you I have little faith in an autonomous vehicle to be able to handle the wide variety of absolutely Random and Stupid crap people do on the road constantly. Not as quickly as a person. Yes a computer can send a signal and activate a change faster then a person. I'm talking about being able to adapt to something completely new. In other words, something the truck's computer isn't programmed for.
