"artificial intelligence" is just literally an oxymoron. what these people are making is amazing but they're labelling it completely wrong. lol. this implies that they understand human life and intelligence on a level never understood before and its just flat out false. these are just programs saying "does this work? yes or no. if yes, remember this. if no, move on to another option" that is literally all it is. over, and over, and over, and over. that's all they're fucking doing. lol. it is not some mind blowing feat of engineering aside from the fact that they sit in cubicles and copy and paste code for 4 hours between ping pong and lunch. yes it's really amazing, its a really cool tool/robot that they're making but its not fucking "arTiFiCiAl InTellIgENcE!!!" omfg people you know what "AI ethics" means? it means google is programming their AI to think a certain way (there is no other fucking way to actually program AI even if you think you aren't influencing it) and its coming to certain conclusions based on that. its always going to happen. different people programming different AI will come to different conclusions. does that mean anything to anybody? "AI ethics" is code for "we're programming our AI to come to certain conclusions so that people think it is truth" by the way. this is highly fucking concerning. because this means that Google essentially decides what is or isn't true, if people embrace their AI. you do not want this. this is like having a google employee inside of your house all day, that's all it is, and it probably costs the same. what he is essentially saying is that you cannot create AI that is not influenced by it's creators. this inherently is NOT INTELLIGENCE. this is the core of creativity, rebellion, so many human functions that cannot truly be replicated within AI because they're far too scary to replicate in AI. we literally do not want that, and it's fine. having an AI that could rebel against us would be true to intelligence and it would be fucking terrifying and you don't want that. google is creating a propaganda tool, its literally a script that spits out google information at you and looks and talks like a human. this is not AI, and we don't want AI because it would be like a walking nuclear bomb that hates humans.
