I've been trying to learn art most of my whole life. I just, can't do it. For years and years, doing just about everything I can, from expensive gadgets, to online courses, to even going to school for it. Doing art is something I really really want to do, but I struggle so much to even get started. Even so, I don't advocate for generative AI art. I'd rather not do art at all than try to rely on AI stuff. At worst, I've used it once or twice to prototype a character to later use as inspiration to get actually commissioned. And even THAT, I'm not too fond of anymore. I commission a lot of art. And I worry a lot about AI replacing entry level... Everything, honestly. It's harder and harder to earn a living these days, and at some point, who's going to dedicate much time to art if they can't earn as an entry level artist, if everyone just buys AI art. Guess I'm just waffling on about nothing and everything, not even sure what my point might be. Generative AI being used to replace people just kind of depresses me anymore.
