“Everybody will have their own personal assistant to do their thinking for them!” - I’m sorry, but no: thinking is fun. What the hell do you even do with your brain if you outsource all your thinking?? Also, I’m a musician and music educator. It makes no sense to use AI to help me with that. It’s the act of making the music that feeds my soul. It’s the human, 1:1 relationship with each student that makes the information sink in (and gets me out of bed every day because it’s so satisfying).
Sure, AI can be a useful tool in many contexts, but anyone who wants to see it permeate all aspects of our lives is dreaming. Y’all have fun with that! I’ll be over here sitting under a tree with my sax playing to the birds. Feel free to join me (all instruments/abilities welcome!).
