15:00 I dunno chief. I've seen artists online fight each other over "stolen" poses and palettes. Half the kids that aspire to be artists aren't doing so for art's sake.
They want to be POPULAR artists who get exclusive praise for their particular art styles. That's no different than being a music celebrity.
IMO, that is the ONLY reason so many online artists hate AI. AI is direct competition to their visibility (and their pocketbooks).
18:02 I'd love to take my time making art and enjoying the process. But we live in a world where the time doesn't always exist. We are all competing. People in 3rd world countries are finally making ends meet by generating slop.
When Universal Basic Income becomes actually universal, then we can talk about taking one's sweet time to be actually humans instead of generating content for clicks. We can't do that the way the world looks now. We CAN'T be human.
