Three thoughts:
1. The idea of an AI singularity is ridiculous. His only example was faster iPhone iteration. Fact - we already have super intelligence. It is worldwide collaboration and division of labor along with better tools. AI is simply a better tool. Albeit its effects on productivity will be so massive, it is hard to predict what will happen.
2. AI will be dangerous in that people are dangerous and make mistakes, and AI is no different if it replaces people in critical roles. The future does look both bright and grim, but not from super intelligent AI.
3. His idea of all religions being the same except for what food they are allowed to eat is extremely childish and misses the point. If there is a god, then we should find out what He requires and what pleases Him. Anything less is foolish. Fortunately, we know who that is, what He requires, and what pleases Him. He has a name - Jesus Christ, and faith in Him is the only thing He requires and will please Him. That faith is not trivial though - it must be such that we are willing to give control over our whole lives to Him.
