We humans take inspiration and copy from other artists' works too. This is a common practice in many art forms, such as writing, painting, sculpting, and music. It is a way for artists to learn from others and add their own creative flair to their work. How did you learn to draw? By looking at others work. Did you ask permission to copy an art style when you were just starting? Or even now, Do you still give credit or "pay" for those artists whom inspired and helped build your own art style? Probably not.
Both human artists and AI copy other artists' art style without consent. The only difference is humans takes years to perfect it, while AI can do it in a few seconds.
