Algorithms put together iterating and interpolating previously existing human art to come with a "new" image. Impressive? From a technological point of view yes, after all AI was created by the very humans that also do the fantastic art that feeds it now. Useful? No doubt is going to impact hard on the job market and the market will often want the fastest output so... Meaningful? As meaningful as a cheap, greasy cheeseburger down the corner. You can always feed on that crap of you can choose to cook your own meals or go to a fine restaurant and have something much more elevated. I hope the general public can learn this differences too so they will choose junk food only seldomly, but if they can't tell the difference then that will be the real cultural defeat...
