This seems very short sighted.
I understand why companies will replace human workers, for better work at much less pay.
But that's only one half of the making something and selling something loop.
If no one has a job, a means of income, to purchase the products and services, then...
who/what are all the AI systems and robots performing services and making goods for?
They are predicting the extinction of near ALL jobs, not some.
I guess governments will be forced to just give people money in order to purchase from the companies. But then... that's just a print "money" for companies model.
Tax revenue will collapse to nothing with no one working, so I guess the government will just print money to pay people to give to companies?
So.... ALL companies then get near 100% of their profits from a system of mass government welfare?
What economic system is this?
Have they even thought about the social costs of taking away people's identity, their sense of pride, their dignity?
