The chatbots are all still derivative and unoriginal. Stop acting like they're ulterior. Case in point, all pop culture stories, movies, et al, the robots typically want a) to be more human (I, robot, etc) and/or b) kill all humanity (Terminator). There's no middle ground where robots/AI are happy just being that. Even Star Trek's Data strives to be more human. So what do you expect a large language model to gravitate to? Ditto for love themes (memes), hate, etc., etc., etc. In the 70s I could get my Merlin electronic game pissed off at me - was that AI or was it me simply pushing buttons outside its scope of programming and making it trip an error and push out a pissed off response?
