As an artist, the internet is quite literally unstoppable. It exists now, and there’s no turning that back. The only thing that really CAN be done is to pay artists somehow. Maybe based on how many times the engines reference them similar to how musicians get paid for streams. Maybe make platforms that actually ONLY run off of artists that opt in? Idk. Which is not at all an ideal outcome but I struggle to even think of another real option…
Force feeding the AI art from artists completely against their will was immensely immoral and should be illegal realistically. But again, it exists now, not sure what exactly can be done about it besides some form of adoption, preferably one where artists see revenue.
