Anytime you hear someone talking about what a catastrophe it will be if jobs are lost in a certain industry, you can rest assured you're listening to someone who drools into their Cheerios bowl. This is how things go. This is how things have always gone. If it is cheaper to use automation in some area, that means resources are being misallocated. Those jobs will be gone, but they will move into other areas where they are needed. Progress has always been a job destroyer and a job creator. And of course, no one wants to lose THEIR job. But at what cost? Them refusing to yield to progress means the majority of us continue paying higher costs.
