style can't be copyrighted in the US. this is a pretty well established thing that has been tested many times and upheld. it sucks when a person (or AI) rips off a style, but its 100% legal. it also happens constantly and has happened way before AI was even a thought. The AI generated pictures will just become the next tool that artists use to create art. people freaked out just as hard about photoshop when it was released and now artists use it without even thinking twice
