The latest models are extremely good. In the future, much of software engineering work may be handled by AI. As models improve, software engineers may become more general-purpose rather than highly specialized. Even if AI can write complete code, founders will likely focus on other domains instead of just building through vibe coding. The future I see has fewer jobs, but they will be higher-paying, more rewarding, and easier than they are today
