My campus (California State University Fresno) is going all in on adopting AI on every level, providing for and encouraging professors to integrate generative AI in their curriculum design and it's sickening. I was already growing discontent with the quality of the education I was receiving and now I expect it to only get worse. The whole campaign page for it on their website reads like parody.
I feel so helpless to do anything about it because I'm not financially able to leave town to pursue a different university. It's driving me into a deep depression because I've busted my ass so far and I'm finally down to just major classes before I can graduate, and now this makes me feel like it's all a sham, and my degree may as well just be some printout I found online.
