For the teacher the problem is not AI.
Harming someone can be done by multiple way. Someone can tell publicly that you have done something and you reputation is ruined if everyone believe it. You can show a photoshop, etc... The problem there are the parents doing there own justice without evidence. If they were smarter of kinder, they would have doupt and acccept the truth that it was fake.
