I think one reason some companies are limiting or prohibiting AI use also has to do with copyright or patent infringement risks. There is no guarantee that AI model was only trained on code that was open source or was not patented or copyrighted. If the AI engine returns an exact copy of the code with a patent or copyright attached to it and there is no license agreement with the owner then the company is opened up to lawsuits against it. That scares some company execs out there.
