“It’s an easy solution to loneliness” that’s the problem to me. Relationships shouldn’t be easy. The lure of convenience, sometimes when people can’t handle things, they take easy ways out, alcohol, drugs, fake love and easy relationships. Sure it feels good in the moment, but in the end it’s toxic and rots your mind.
These things only have one goal, to keep you talking with them. And in the end “this easy” solution will further isolate these people, as they will think lesser and lesser of their relationships with real people.
Some people have said that they prefer AI to their actual friends, obviously, because these you made this AI to please you. Someone who will tell you everything they want to hear. Its their whole purpose, but you don’t grow from that, you don’t grow from constantly hearing yes.
Relationships, any relationship are long hard and difficult, that’s what makes them so rewarding and important.
