I don't think it is really worth it to argue for the merit or inherit value of human crafted art. Regular people just won't care about that angle of argument, even if it is true. And corporations will try to milk this, regardless. The real question is whether this will make money, or not in various art economies.
It will just come down to whether people make more money by paying artists, or pumping out AI slop. I hope it's the former.
